Wahoo Utility App Reviews

Wahoo fitness

Works nice! Would like to be able to see zone breakdown after saving.

More sales pitch than utility

This app does confirm your iPhone/Kickr connection at least with Bluetooth. Also does the initial spin down which most Kickr users will need. But asks you to register your trainer every time you use this app until you comply which is annoying. I have been unable to get my 5S to control my Kickr although my previous 4S worked. From what I can tell so far the connection "help" this app provides is taking you to your wahoo shopping cart. Not helpful.

Complete crap

Dont waste your money on the HR Monitor. Its not ready for prime time. Works intermittently, rubber gasket falls out. Ill never buy another Wahoo product.

POS

What a complete POS. Ive lost connection or RFLKT configuration on every ride. App only recorded first 10 miles of this mornings century. Im using or was using the latest App version and have downloaded all patches for RFLKT. Do not use this App with an RFLKT. There are much better Apps available.

Utility does not do its job!

Nicely designed, easy to use, but all of this doesnt matter! Just purchased Wahoo RFLKT. It is stuck on "loading pages". Wahoo utility says that firmware needs updating, but it is not updating it! I have never been so frustrated. $100 for a piece Of junk that does not work!

Installed and Works Beautifully

I had my local bike store install the sensors on the bike and they set it all up - it’s worked beautifully ever since!

Heart rate is good but should be compatible with apples health app

Wahoo does not work with a lot of health apps. Making it work with apples health app would solve then problem

Brake stops ride after 6 seconds

After 2 weeks of successful riding suddenly it doesnt work (as above) with the Kickr. $1000 of useless hardware Recommendation to do a spin down initialization doesnt work

DONT SUPPORT WAHOO!

They wont support you. Not keeping up with iOS updates. So youll get burned buying their hardware. I have called to complain and got ton no response.

Whats the point?

Wahoo Fitness can pair/test your sensors. :)

Worthless

I installed this app to troubleshoot my KICKR. Neither the "Get an App" nor the "FAQ/Help" utilities work. They refused to connect via WIFI. After enabling mobile data and completely closing the app, these functions still fail to load. Aside from displaying the KICKR serial number, the app has no value/utility. Did I just buy a $1200 paperweight??

Missing...

Have you stopped supporting the Balance scale? There is no option to select this in the app.

Essentially worthless

If your sensor is detected by the app it will show you the firmware version. End of story.

NOT IOS9 compatible

Thought it might be a beta issue, so I waited to put this up. But with the gold master out, I can affirm, the app crashes as soon as you try to “TEST” a sensor. Need to get dews. who know how to develop. Whole reason is the Bluetooth API has changed and does not support old programs(I don’t want to get too technical) now my heart rate monitor is basically useless. Does not work ...

Garbage

App written by a bunch of blind monkeys.

No longer works with iOS9

Since updating iOS 9, this app heart monitor no longer works and crashes at startup. It can now be used as a fishing sinker!

Works fine w me for KICKR

Seems fine for what it is. Just lets me view speed and power. Has a rocker for some value (indicates speed?) but makes no sense that you can increment speed in that way, so I didnt touch that. My guess is thats power, to change resistance? Otherwise, app is a good rudimentary way to test kickr. Im not yet on ios 9. By the way, you have to select the kickr to see the stats, touch where it lists the serial number and you will be taken to the details screen.

Yup, worthless.

Doesnt work. Crashes when you try to use it per instructions.

Not working with KICKR

Still not working with Wahoo Kickr, the app quits

Does not work in iOS 9

One would think that the version released specifically for iOS 9 would work in iOS 9. Nope. When attempting to connect to a Wahoo Kickr under the “Test Bluetooth Sensors”, it crashes. Uninstalling and re-installing the app makes no difference. This is inexcusable.
